John Schroeck is a longtime fan of stand up comedy. He got on stage for the first time in college for the 2010 Rooftop College Comedy Competition and has since become a staple of the Cincinnati comedy community, performing to audiences far and wide – from the San Francisco bay, to the vast expanses of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.
On stage, Schroeck strikes a delicate balance between dark & cutting, and light & relatable. But hey, don’t take my word for it. Just watch a clip.
Schroeck joined the emcee rotation at Go Bananas Comedy Club in 2011 and has performed as a feature act at the club since 2013. He has opened for comedians such as: Tommy Johnagin, Lachlan Patterson, Henry Philips, Jimmy Dore, Tom Rhodes, Dan Cummins, Ryan Stout, Dave Waite, Kevin Brennan, Pat Dixon, DC Benny, Erin Jackson, and The Whitest Kids U’Know. He also opened for Amy Schumer one time. Which is pretty cool, dad!
Schroeck has also performed at Cleveland’s Accidental Comedy Festival (2015), Crossroads Comedy Festival (2015), Gilda’s LaughFest (2014), and the Cincy Brew HaHa (2011 – 2015).
